“I had experiences like nothing I have ever seen before:” How Summer, 2016 Clinical Education Students started building their practice portfolio and why you should register for Summer 2017 NOW!

A Clinical Education course offers the unique opportunity to learn by observing or participating in actual legal proceedings or situations, FOR CREDIT.  Students are given the opportunity to work closely with practicing attorneys on real cases by interviewing clients, researching, writing, and observing legal proceedings.

Two of our Summer, 2016, students received credit for work at the Tampa office of the United States Attorney – here’s what they thought of their experiences:

“In the past week alone, I had experiences like nothing I have ever seen before, from listening in on a negotiation phone call regarding hundreds of millions of dollars with a nationally known lawyer, to touring the Coleman Federal Correctional Complex – I could write a whole essay on that day alone”

“I have also really enjoyed working with attorneys who are so willing to help and sculpt the interns into successful future attorneys. We are also welcomed to office meetings and are constantly given feedback and constructive criticism.”
