|Event: First ELS Meeting and Concentration Lunch|
|Event Date:||October 2, 2017|
|Time:||12:00 PM - 1:00 PM|
This is a great opportunity for anyone even remotely interested in Elder Law! Join our Elder Law Concentration students and Professor Morgan in a special lunch presentation! You’ll get to hear about De Hogeweyk, the dementia village (“The Neighborhood”) that our Study Abroad students visited this summer in the Netherlands. They will talk about their experiences there and how The Neighborhood differs from the type of nursing home care that we see in the United States. Come hear about how only five out of 152 residents with advanced dementia are bedridden. Learn about how the residents are able to keep their autonomy. Hear about how the elders can continue doing what each of them loves, such as taking a stroll in the park, drinking coffee outside on a nice day with friends, baking something delicious to share, going to the theatre, or even shopping for their own groceries.
This is a fantastic way to learn more about the our amazing Elder Law Concentration program here at Stetson. Our specific network of students, professors, and alumni is very popular and well known nation-wide! Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in attending! This is a special offer from Professor Morgan to ELS members, don’t pass it up!
