|Event: FedSoc – Can a Cake Shop Refuse To Make a Wedding Cake for a Same-Sex Couple?|
|Event Date:||March 19, 2018|
|Time:||12:00 PM - 1:00 PM|
The Supreme Court recently heard oral arguments in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission – questioning whether a baker had to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. Please join the Federalist Society for a fascinating debate about this case between our very own Professor Virelli, and Nebraska College of Law’s Professor Richard Duncan. Professor Duncan teaches Property and Constitutional Law and has a strong interest in writing and speaking about federalism, liberty, religious freedom, and the right to life. Both sides of the issue will be represented during the debate and we encourage students of all viewpoints to attend. There will be time at the end for Q&A.
Lunch will be provided. We hope to see you there!
For the benefit of the organization, please RSVP with the link below if you plan on attending.
