Event: Diversity Week: Being Black in America
Event Date: March 1, 2017
Time: 12:05 PM - 12:55 PM
Public Event:

Come join an open and safe conversation about what it is like being black in America. This will be a panel discussion with open dialogue about this issues some of our black students and faculty have faced and are currently facing. With the new developments in our country, this topic is seeing more light, and that tends to attract many misconceptions and misunderstandings. it is important to understand and sympathize with the plight of those who are different from you. Ever wonder why or what we protest? What we are fighting for?  What have we experienced? How can you help? Come with all the questions that you’ve always wanted to ask but didn’t have an opportunity to in a safe and educational environment. This will be a safe space for all to come explain and question a day and a life of a black person. (Hateful speech will not be tolerated.)
