GREAT NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY!!! Shutts and Bowen is hosting a reception on May 17th at Shutts’ offices to promote, explain, and recruit for Project H.E.L.P. If you would have any interest, this reception is a great time to come and learn more. In addition to learning more about this fantastice Homeless Advocacy program, you would get to see Shutts’ offices, and network with practicing lawyers and judges at a cocktail reception. Project H.E.L.P.   Provide legal assistance to the homeless at a weekly clinic, held every Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m at Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. Student volunteers are expected to attend at least one clinic a month. If interested, please email Ella Shenhav at

Gulfcoast Legal Services is looking for 2-5 volunteers to help, consistently, with the Birth Certificate clinic weekly on Thursdays. The work is part of the Homeless Advocacy program and entails doing intake with new clients, acquiring and organizing documents, and following up with vital records agencies and clients. At this time, we are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to 12 hours of monthly service at a minimum. This is an attorney-supervised, legal pro bono opportunity.  Presently, an availability on Thursdays during the hours of 9am to 1pm (other arrangements can be made but require at least two weeks to accommodate). Important Reminder: Stetson Law requires our students to perform a total of sixty (60) hours of pro bono service during their law school career, of which thirty (30) hours must be the performance of qualifying law-related service (legal pro bono). Full-time students and part-time students must complete all pro bono requirements before the start of their last semester of law school!
