Fall Graduate Celebration - FAQ
When is the Fall Graduate Celebration?
Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 in the Great Hall. There will be a reception in the Mann Lounge and Banyan Courtyard immediately following the recognitions.
What is the start and end time of the event?
The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and is expected to end by 9:00 p.m.
Who is the Keynote Speaker?
The Keynote speaker is selected based on the voting from the December 2017 class. The deadline for submission of the Fall Graduate Celebration Keynote Speaker Nomination Form is Oct. 20, 2017.
How many guests may I bring?
There is no limit on the number of guests that you may bring. Seating in the Great Hall will be on a first come first serve basis.
What food will be served at the reception?
Heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soda will be served.
Is it too late to RSVP for this event?
The deadline to RSVP is Dec. 7, 2017. If you missed the deadline, please email your RSVP request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will photographs be taken during the Fall Graduate Celebration? If so, where can I obtain them?
A photographer will be present at the Fall Graduate Celebration and will take photographs of each December graduate. Photos from the event will be uploaded to an online gallery where you may download images for free. The web address for the online gallery will be shared with you via email and posted on the Graduation Events website at https://www.stetson.edu/law/graduation.
What do I wear?
Business attire is recommended for graduates. No regalia will be worn at this event.
What should my guests wear?
Wear what will make the most sense for pictures afterward based on your family culture. Many people follow the church/business casual model for this type of event.

I may be changing my name before graduation. What do I do?
A student who legally changes his/her name must present supporting documentation to the Law School Registrar’s Office. Until the Registrar’s Office receives a copy of your legal documentation, we must use the name that is currently listed in Banner (MyStetson). Once you have your legal documentation, which includes a copy of your marriage license or divorce decree and your new Social Security card, contact our office. We will provide you with a Name Change Form, which you will complete and return to our office, along with a copy of your legal documentation. After we receive your materials, your name will be changed in Banner and we will contact the other offices on campus.
