Working From Home Guidelines

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, Stetson University is encouraging supervisors and employees to explore whether telecommuting arrangements may be viable alternatives to ensure the timely completion of university business and the safety of employees and students. These arrangements are not permanent, but temporary response to the University's and employee's needs that can be modified or discontinued at any time. The below guidelines are meant to assist employees in meeting with their supervisors to establish telecommuting arrangements:

Talk with your supervisor about if your work lends itself to telecommuting.

Review with your supervisor the tools the University has put in place to assist you in completing your work remotely.

Set up a schedule with your supervisor.

Set up a check-in process.

We want to encourage these arrangements during this difficult time, however, there is important compliance and legal information you should make sure you discuss.

The remote worker agrees to report work-related injuries via email to their supervisor and the designated Stetson University worker compensation contact for your traditional campus location within 24 hours or at the earliest reasonable opportunity.
