Frequently Asked Questions

At what level, academically, is this program taught?

Stetson University teaches this program at an accelerated level. The nature of the courses in this professional development program is specific to a field of study and requires students to provide the insight and relevant experiences necessary for further exploration through research and classroom discussion. Courses are conducted at the upper echelons of Bloom's Taxonomy of Cognitive Domains (syntheses, analysis, and evaluation) and are, therefore, akin to graduate-level studies.

Will I need to purchase books or materials for the courses?

No, all books and materials are included in the cost of the course.

Are the courses graded?

Yes. Our desire is to ensure our graduates can use their new skills and abilities effectively. Evaluation helps us measure the effectiveness of our efforts. The course is graded using the A-B-C-D-F grading scale. A grade of "C" or higher constitutes successful accomplishment of the objectives. If a letter grade is neither required nor desired, participants may request in advance that course administrators evaluate performance solely on a pass-fail basis.

Is there homework?

Yes. The Stetson University Lean Six Sigma program does have homework because of the accelerated pace of the program. We want you to learn as much as possible during the time we have with you! If you get stuck or feel overwhelmed, please do not hesitate to contact your instructor!

What do I receive after completing the program?

After completing the program, you will receive a certificate of completion and official transcripts from Stetson University.

Is financial assistance available for the Lean Six Sigma program?
