About the Foundation

Formation

Founded by a group of students, faculty and external supporters in 1969, the Stetson Business School Foundation is celebrating its golden anniversary in 2019, marking a half century of service and support for business students, programs and activities at Stetson University. During that period, the School of Business Administration has grown in size, significance and impact within Stetson University, the region and the country.

Today, the School of Business Administration offers undergraduate and graduate programs at the University’s four campuses across the State of Florida and graduate programs throughout the world via online education offered directly by Stetson and jointly with the University of Florida. The School has earned the highest levels of accreditation offered by the world’s leading business accrediting body, AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). Accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate business and accounting programs places Stetson among less than 200 institutions in the world with such recognition.

The School is housed in the Eugene M. and Christine Lynn Business Center which was the first building in the State of Florida to earn LEED certification for its energy and environmental design. LEED certification is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. The building has been rated twice as the top campus business facility in the country by students in The Princeton Review’s compilation of the Best Business Schools.
