What degree did you earn at Stetson?

B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Psychology

What are you currently doing?

I am currently working in veterinary medicine.

Why did you choose your current profession/career path?

I have a passion for all creatures and for the people who care for them. In veterinary medicine, I can serve both passions by tending to the health of animals and educating and connecting with owners.

What is your favorite part about your career/program?

What advice would you give current pre-health students at Stetson?

Stetson has an amazing faculty that cares about its students and their success. Utilizing them in all of your endeavors is a way to make sure you are successful in reaching your goals.

What are you currently doing?

I am currently working towards my Master of Science in PA Studies at Stanford Medicine.

Why did you choose your current profession/career path?

I am passionate about public service and enjoy giving back through my career as a clinician and a health care professional. After graduating from my PA program, I plan to work at the VHA.

What is your favorite part about your career/program?

Serving the country and helping people. Ability to work across multiple specialties.

What advice would you give current pre-health students at Stetson?

Follow your passions. Have a solid plan. Focus on your grades BUT also on extracurricular activities and leadership. Find mentors!

What degree did you earn at Stetson?

B.S. in Integrative Health Sciences (Rehabilitative Studies)

What are you currently doing?

I am currently working as a Geriatric Physical Therapist, primarily working in memory care. I received my clinical doctorate from UM after graduating from Stetson.

Why did you choose your current profession/career path?

I always knew that I wanted a career in medicine. While in high school, I was a student athletic trainer and fell in love with rehab and physical therapy. I had the opportunity to shadow a few physical therapists and found my perfect career through that time.

What is your favorite part about your career/program?

Hands down the mentoring that I received from Dr. Skelton. She worked with me to help me achieve admission to my dream physical therapy school and still today has an impact on my life and my career.

What advice would you give current pre-health students at Stetson?

Take advantage of the incredible professors and mentors that you have at Stetson. They are a wealth of information and encouragement. There are likely going to be bumps along the way to grad school/career, but lean on each other and your mentors to keep going because it’s worth it. I have my dream job and am grateful every day for the education that I received at Stetson.
