Design Your Own Major

One of the advantages and privileges that comes with being an Honors Program student at Stetson University is the opportunity to define and create your own major. During your first two years on campus, in consultation with the director, you may write up a proposal for a new and unique major. The proposal includes explanation of how your self-defined major differs from existing majors and how you feel the creation of the major would enhance your education. You then choose approximately ten courses that will constitute your major. Upon approval from professors in the departments involved, your major becomes official! Majors that have been created by honors students in the past include Behavioral Economics, Healthcare Management, Outreach Management, Global Development Studies, and Biology of Global Health.
