Winners Announced for the WORLD 2018 Photo, Film and Essay Contests

WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning is pleased to announce the winners of our 2018 photo, film and essay contests. First, we would like to thank all of the students who submitted for each of the contests. It was not easy to choose winners as all the submissions wonderfully represented our WORLD Center. We received 64 photos, 2 films and 4 essays!  This year we added two new items to our annual contests. For the first time ever, we hosted a film contest.  Students were asked to submit a short film, roughly 60 seconds in length, on the topic of their choice from their time abroad.  We also expanded our photo contest to include international students studying at Stetson University.  We truly enjoyed seeing the USA from an international perspective.  The number of likes they received on Facebook determined winners of the photo and film contest. During the WORLD Fair on April 13, attendees also voted for their favorite photo, which was added to the final Facebook vote total. We have awarded two photos as winners for the Study Abroad photo contest due to a voting/counting glitch.

You can view all the photo and film contest submissions by visiting our Facebook page.
