A special announcement from the Associate Provost for Faculty Development:
Tomorrow, April 17, Stetson University will celebrate a historic landmark in its history of academic excellence – our 20th annual Showcase Symposium.
Stetson Showcase is a full day demonstration of student academic achievement and distinction in experiential learning. Our students will share scholarly and creative works through presentations, portfolios, posters, readings, music and theater performances, art shows, multimedia work and more. The full program highlights project abstracts that provide insight into the levels of excellence attained by Showcase presenters. Stetson Showcase is such an important event that we cancel classes to allow students and faculty to fully engage.
As part of Showcase, join us at 6:15 p.m. tomorrow evening at the Rinker Field House for the 2018 Grady Ballenger Lecturer Dr. Sarah Caudill ‘06, Nikhef, the Dutch National Institute for Subatomic Physics/VIRGO/LIGO, for her talk entitled, “Reflections on graduate school: work hard, sleep later.”
Cultural credit is available for Showcase events. For a preview of Showcase offerings, see the recent Stetson Today article, Celebrating Research. Encourage staff and students to participate … and enjoy this milestone event.
