Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. Financial Literacy Week is Nov. 13-17, and this will be an exciting week full of resources, fun and food for students! For each event attended, you will be entered to win a prize. Tuesday’s event:

Financial Checkup 101 and Budgeting & Saving Money
This workshop will provide an informative overview of the various financial options/decisions students face throughout life. Saving, budgeting, identity protection, credit, homeownership, investing options and saving for college will all be covered.
Facilitators: Kellie Brown, Financial Center Manager for Fifth Third Bank, along with one of her staff members
Student Outcomes: Students will gain a greater understanding of personal finances. Additionally, they will also learn about how to create a budget that will work and how to get on track to meet personal and financial goals. They will learn how to save — no matter what their income level, amount of debt or fear of the process.
