Touchstone magazine Wins 5th Place, Best in Show, in National Competition

Touchstone, Stetson University’s literary magazine, received the fifth place best in show award at the National College Media Convention in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 29. The award is given for “general excellence” in the category.

Touchstone is part of Hatter Network, Stetson’s student-run media organization. Its award marks the third best-in-show for Hatter Network this year; last spring, Hatter Network received two best in show awards at a conference in San Francisco.

The conference is the largest annual gathering of student media and journalists, and this year, 1,383 students from about 260 schools attended the conference, which is presented by the Associated Collegiate Press and College Media Advisers.

Touchstone is edited by Gabby Cassidy. Kait Forsythe is Hatter Network’s editor-in-chief.

Congratulations, Touchstone staff!
