Mark your calendars for the Stetson Human Library event!
The Human Library is a library of individuals (who are the “books”) that come together to share stories about stigma, prejudice and/or discrimination that they have experienced. Stetson’s Human Library will take place in the duPont-Ball Library on Feb. 24 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
“Books” will share their story with readers, as well as the challenges and stereotypes they have overcome. Those who attend this event are invited to be readers, by taking an individual out on loan to hear their personal experience with a topic/issue that they represent.
Readers are invited to explore various topics, such as: anxiety, self-harm, religion, gender, sexuality and immigration.
*Readers can listen to as many books as they like, but don’t have to stay the whole entire event time.*
If there are any questions, feel free to contact the Multicultural Student Council at email@example.com.
THIS IS A CULTURAL CREDIT EVENT.
