Paint Blaster Architect
What happens when paint meets gravity, force, and motion? Students will continue their song and dance while they figure out gravity, force and motion by designing catapults, levels and pulleys, rube Goldberg machines and Jackson Pollack’s art!
About the Instructors
Nicole Duslak
Nicole Duslak is the founder and Head of School for CREATE Conservatory. She has a BFA in Fine Arts, an M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. She is an award-winning educator with extensive administration experience and has been involved with the education system from kindergarten through higher education. She has published work in school counseling, arts integration, the Pearson Formative Writing Assessments and the Drama Standards for the state of Florida. She is a passionate supporter of the arts in education, student advocacy and positive organizational cultures and climates.
Jeff M. Brown
Jeff Brown is a pianist, conductor and composer for choirs, instrumentalists, churches and children's projects. As an educator, he has worked as Teaching Artist in residence for Santa Fe Opera, Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Florida Alliance for Arts Education. Recent awards include the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation residency grant, Florida Alliance for Arts Education Teaching Artist Fellowship, the Banff Centre Artist in Residence Program and the IC3 Residency at the National Hispanic Cultural Center/McCune Foundation. He recently won first prize in the Melrose Awards (audio category) of the Orange County Public Library in Orlando FL for his Spanish language pedagogy songs. Other recent projects highlight Native American storytelling, ancient Roman Catholic choral traditions, Louisiana street parade music and children's bedtime poetry. Before becoming a musician, he graduated in Industrial Engineering and worked several years as a business technology consultant for Accenture in North, Central and South America.
