Capital Markets: Stocks and Bonds Overview
Want to learn about Wall Street? Thinking about finance, or at least being smarter with your future investments? The class will provide a brief overview of capital markets, focusing on debt and equity markets. The class will briefly describe the types of securities traded in these markets, overview the markets themselves, explain how these securities are priced, and how investors interact with these capital markets.
About the Instructor
Dr. Imes is an assistant professor of finance at Stetson University. His teaching experience includes financial management and securities analysis and portfolio management. He has presented research papers at the Southern Finance Association, Eastern Finance Association, American Real Estate Society, and the Financial Engineering and Banking Society conferences. In addition to his work as a finance professor, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, and hiking. PhD, Temple University; MS, University of Maryland; BS, Anderson University.
