Meet Your Facilitators

Hatter Trek Facilitators are student leaders who help lead each of the four day Hatter Treks for incoming students. They help run activities and events, lead reflection activities and serve as a mentor for all participants to help them prepare for their college journey. Each Hatter Trek has two student facilitators who have been preparing all semester for the incoming students. 

Leading Adventure - June 5 - 8, 2018

Ian and Sara 

Ian is a senior accounting major from Naples, Florida. He is a Resident Assistant, involved in Varsity, Mad Hatters, Stetson Toast Masters and Sport Business Association. Ian chose to become a Hatter Trek Facilitator because he wanted to make a difference for incoming students. He wants to share his love for Stetson and show incoming students everything this fantastic university has to offer.

Sara is a sophomore psychology major from Winter Springs, Florida. She is involved with the Hatter Band, Hatters on the Run, Green, White and YOU, First Year Leadership Experience, Kilometer Kids and is the School of Music Band Librarian. Sara chose Stetson University because she felt at home when she the moment she walked on campus.

Zach and Holly 

Zach is a junior environmental studies and economics major from Sarasota, Florida. He is involved with the Bonner Program, Honors Program, Hatters Down Under and intramural sports. Zach chose Stetson because of the multiple community engagement opportunities and the diverse academic opportunities offered on campus.

Holly is a junior psychology and studio art major with a minor in digital arts from Columbia, Maryland. She is a student ambassador and is involved with Hatterthon and Greek life. Holly chose to become a Hatter Trek Facilitator because she wanted to be part of a program that helps with the transition from high school to college.

Brittani and Ashley 

Brittani is a sophomore business administration major from DeLand, Florida. Her involvements include First Year Leadership Experience, Greek life and the Diamond Darlings.  Brittani chose to become a Hatter Trek Facilitator because Hatter Trek played a key role in helping her come out of her shell when she was a participant. Hatter Trek allowed her to create some amazing friendships and helped her learn about herself, Stetson, life as a college student and what to expect as a new Hatter.

Ashley is a junior international business major from Bartlett. Illinois. She is involved in Greek life and chose Stetson because it immediately felt like home the moment she stepped on to campus.

Connor and Emily 

Connor is a sophomore public administration major from Titusville, Florida. He is part of the Stetson football team and Stetson Men. Connor chose Stetson because of the great academics, the closeness to home and the community created by the professors and students.

Emily is a senior elementary education major from Coral Springs, Florida. She is involved with Greek life and Concert Choir. Emily chose to become a Hatter Trek Facilitator because she knows how it promotes great connections on campus and wants to help foster that kind of atmosphere.
