To complete entrance counseling:

  1. Login to studentaid.gov (You will need your FSA ID)
  2. Select "Complete Aid Process
  3. Select "Complete Entrance Counseling
  4. Select "Log in to Start" (Undergraduate or Graduate/Professional)
  5. Select the school you want to notify of counseling completion (Stetson University, 001531)

  3. Select "Complete Exit Counseling"
  4. Select "Log in to Start" (Undergraduate or Graduate/Professional)
  5. Select the school you want to notify of counseling completion (Stetson University, 001531)

The Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) is required for federal financial aid (Direct Loans, Pell Grants, etc.) 

Your FAFSA has not been officially signed. To sign your FAFSA application, click the "Login" button and the click the "Provide Signatures" button. You will need your FSA ID. If you do not have an FSA ID or have forgotten it, you can request one.

Mandatory to receive EASE. We must have at least two forms of proof of residency for the parent of a dependent student or the student if considered independent. Listed below are acceptable documents for verifying proof of residency. At least one of the documents must be from the first tier; those documents listed in the second tier may be used in conjunction with one document from the first tier.

First Tier

  • Florida Driver License or State of Florida identification card
  • Florida voter registration card
  • Proof of permanent full-time employment in Florida
  • Proof of purchase of a permanent home in Florida that is occupied as the primary residence of the claimant
  • Student transcripts from a Florida high school for multiple years, if earned within the past 12 months
  • Benefit histories from Florida agencies or public assistance programs
  • Florida vehicle registration card
  • Proof of a homestead exemption in Florida

Second Tier

  • A Florida professional or occupational license
  • Florida incorporation
  • Proof of membership in a Florida-based charitable or professional organization
  • Utility bills and proof of 12 consecutive months of payments
  • Lease agreement and proof of 12 consecutive months of payment
  • State or court documents evidencing legal ties to Florida
  • Declaration of domicile in Florida

Please come to the Office of Student Financial Aid in the One Stop (Rinker Welcome Center, 2nd floor) to complete this requirement. You must bring a government-provided ID card.

The funding of your award is currently in an estimated status because your FAFSA was selected by the Federal Processor for Verification. This process requires you to provide our office with a signed copy of Tax Returns, or an official IRS Tax Return Transcript or use of the IRS Data Retrieval Tool through the FAFSA. Signed Tax Returns or IRS Tax Return Transcripts must be submitted through the verification worksheet.  

  • Order your Tax Return Transcripts from the IRS online. There you can request a PDF version instantaneously.
  • To order online, visit www.irs.gov/transcript.
    1. Click Get Transcript Online or Get Transcript by Mail.
    2. Provide the requested identifier information.
    3. Select Return Transcript for tax year 2019.
    4. Once you print or receive your transcript, create a PDF document or image of your tax return transcript and upload the document.

  • If you prefer to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) through your FAFSA, log in to your FAFSA and when prompted select the option “IRS Data Retrieval.” If eligible you will be prompted to utilize the IRS DRT during the section of questions regarding your income information and the process will send us your tax information. It is important to sign, save, and submit the adjusted FAFSA. Changing any data elements subsequent to the successful transfer of your 2019 tax data may result in our inability to use the submission for purposes of completing the verification process. The IRS DRT is not available to all tax filers and those who are unable to use this tool should request their tax transcripts through the www.irs.gov.

The funding of your award is currently in an estimated status because your FAFSA was selected by the Federal Processor for Verification. This process requires you to provide our office with a copy of any W2 or Schedule C forms containing information reflected on your tax filing through the verification worksheet.

A Master Promissory Note is required to disburse your loans. 

To complete MPN:

  1. Login to studentaid.gov (You will need your FSA ID)
  2. Select "Complete Aid Process" 
  3. Select "Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN)"
  4. Select "Log In to Start" based on the type on MPN needing to be completed (Undergraduate, Graduate, or Parent)
  5. Select the school you want to notify of MPN completion (Stetson University, 001531)

As a male U.S. Citizen, age 18-25, you must register for Selective Service in order to receive any federal or state funding. Once you have registered, notify the Office of Student Financial Aid by e-mailing [email protected]. The office will then certify this on the national database.

You will need to complete your TEACH grant application and TEACH Grant counseling. Once completed, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at [email protected] so your application can be processed.

When completing your FAFSA, you included scholarship income. Please submit your 1098-T tax form to the Office of Student Financial Aid. If your scholarship funding came from Stetson, you can find this form by logging into your MyStetson account. Click on your "One Stop" tab. You will then see "Tax Notification" listed under the "My Account" box. You will find your tax forms there.
