Your gifts to Stetson make all the difference in the world to our students. Whether you designate a gift for a particular initiative or for the university’s greatest needs, you directly impact our Hatters and launch significant lives.
Your funding supports academic programs and experiences, allows Stetson to recruit and retain great faculty, provides scholarships, and helps us maintain and improve campus spaces. More than this, however, your generosity opens up possibilities and makes dreams come true. And for that, we thank our donors!
Academic Rigor That Creates Leaders

"I designed my major through the Honors Program; it incorporates economics, psychology and business. Because of the program and my professors, I feel well-prepared this fall to participate in the Washington Semester at American University, studying global economics and business while interning in the nation's capital.
"Michael Denner, my Honors advisor, has encouraged me to do all the things that have defined my college experience to date, from the Washington Semester to organizing TEDxStetson. He and the rest of my faculty really make the Stetson experience what it is, and they are tireless in their efforts. I attribute all my success to the faculty and staff, and I hope to one day repay them for everything they’ve done for me.
"More than anything, Stetson allows me to believe in my abilities as a leader. It's truly an environment where you can take a good idea and run with it. The support I receive is immense. Organizing TEDx is just the beginning – that opportunity developed my character and leadership skills that will take with me throughout life. Stetson is where I started."
Campus Resources That Support Student Success
Ignacio Madrid '16
San Leandro, Calif.
"Stetson was the ideal choice for me because I knew that I would be challenged both in my academics and in football, which I wanted to continue to play even though Stetson doesn't award athletic scholarships for football. I'm a member of the American Medical Student Association club and plan to go to dentistry school after Stetson and become an orthodontist. As a first-year student, I spend a lot of time on campus - it's where I live, eat, study and socialize. I am often in the library and 24-hour computer lab; I use the new Athletic Training Center for football workouts; and I like the Hollis Center because it offers an additional place for me to exercise. Stetson's resources are of great benefit to me on all fronts.
"Alumni who are supporting projects like facility improvements help me excel academically and athletically because of the resources that are available to me in those spaces."
Scholarships That Light Pathways

"I chose Stetson because I felt at home and in love with the campus from the first moment I visited, and my scholarships were important to the pursuit of my education. My experience at Stetson interning for three years with Student Development and Campus Vibrancy and being part of the F.O.C.U.S. Orientation staff really showed me how much I enjoy helping others realize their dreams. I've also served as Greenfeather director, a student ambassador, Reporter contributor and chair of the Family and Friends Weekend committee, all of which exposed me to the value of a rich campus life program. Because of this, after graduation I'm headed to the University of South Carolina to pursue my M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
"Stetson would not be the place it is without continued support from alumni, and I know that so many lives have been touched because of that. I am thrilled to be joining such a strong network of amazing Hatters and can't wait to start giving back to the university!"
