Allow about two hours per assignment. Read the assigned material slowly, with pencil and paper at hand. Take notes on definitions, formulas, important theorems, and remarks. Verify the author's assertions; fill in any missing steps. Do the assigned exercises.
Homework write-ups are due the next class after they are assigned. You may not use any source other than your own mind, me, and other students currently in this class. Please cite any help you get.
Your writing should be clear and your work organized. What you submit should look like a final product, not a rough draft. Use clean, lined paper, one side only, no ragged edges. Staple multiple pages together.
