About me -- I chose math because I'm good at it and I enjoy doing it. I guess my least favorite type of math would be numerical analysis, but maybe I just need to get to know it better. I teach because I like students and it satisfies my urge to organize things. I grew up in Pennsylvania, went to Eckerd College as an undergraduate, and Vanderbilt University for grad school. I've been teaching for 21 years, 10 of them here at Stetson. My job is NEVER boring! Even when I teach a class again, it never goes the same way twice. Believe it or not, math keeps changing. My textbook on Logic & Proofs is almost done. My hobbies include birdwatching and movies. I like lots of music: country, folk, rock & roll, new age, percussion. My sense of humor tends toward the subtle rather than the obvious. I'm not sure whether linear algebra is harder than calculus 2, but it will be different. There are more proofs. If you want extra help, I am often available outside of class and via email. I don't remember your sister. More about me is on my webpage.
