Make-up exams will be given only to students with a valid excuse and who notify me before an exam is given.


ASSIGNMENTS: Grades for assignments will be for a stock game (3%), homework collected in class (12%), and security report (5%).   Assignments are due at the beginning of the periods.  Assignments handed in late will be marked down.
CALCULATOR: For time value of money problems on assignments and exams, you must have a financial calculator or use Excel.
ATTENDENCE: Attendance will be taken and is highly recommended.
PREREQUISITE: FIN 311 - Business Finance
FAQ:

1)    Will this be on the exam?  Yes.

2)    What will be in the next exam?  Everything.

3)    I will not be in the next class.  Will I miss anything important?  Yes.

4)    Can I get extra credit?  No.

5)    The material being covered does not seem to relate to the real world.  Why is it being covered?  There is no “real world” -- everything is an illusion.

6)    Will the grades be curved?  Even space and time is relative.

GOAL: To convey an understanding of current investment practice and how investment theory relates to financial markets.  Your goal should be to maximize your investment knowledge relative to your career choice and personal financial goals.
