About Gail Radley

Gail Radley is the author of numerous books for young people ranging from preschoolers to young adults.  Mainly fiction, her work includes several novels, picture books, short stories and a poetry anthology.  Several have received recognition:  Works currently under contract  include:


    Gail Radley is a lecturer in the English Department at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.  She holds a Master's degree in English from Stetson and a Bachelor's with an emphasis in creative writing from Mary Baldwin College. The  Baha'i Faith has been a significant influence in her life, providing the moral and spiritual underpinnings for her work.  Gail
is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Florida Writers Association .
    She is a frequent speaker, reader, and workshop leader for audiences of all ages and in a variety of settings.  Now available: Vanishing! An Introduction to Gail Radley's Books on Endangered Animals.  In a talk and colorful PowerPoint presentation introducing her cross-curricular Vanishing From...series, Radley teaches young audiences about the problem of animal endangerment, with highlights of specific species, and to ways children can help, including creating poems to communicate their concerns.   To book an event, contact Gail Radley at gradley@stetson.edu
