Stetson’s David Caulfield and Paul Ladwig were named to the Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Members of the team were selected by ASUN Sports Information Directors. Nominees were required to have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, have at least one full year of academic residency at their respective institution, and participate in at least 50 percent of their team’s games.

Ladwig was a unanimous selection and is a repeat pick to the squad after also being selected in 2015. This is Caulfield’s first ASUN All-Academic honor.

He currently leads the ASUN and ranks 10th nationally with 86 saves. He owns a 1.72 goals-against average in 15 matches and has played every minute this season in goal.

Caulfield is a junior athletically, but plans on graduating next May with a degree in Finance, where he holds a 3.94 GPA. Caulfield has played in and started 11 matches and scored his only goal this season against USC Upstate.

Upstate’s Lucas Sommer is the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
