The second annual Poverty and Homelessness Conference held at Stetson, received good coverage in the Daytona Times, Oct. 29.

Hatters baseball coach Pete Dunn shares his thoughts on Jacob deGrom, Stetson’s first alumnus to step onto the World Series, in an article on the Bright House Sports Network and Bay News 9 published on Oct. 22.

The news ran Oct. 27 in Houston Chronicle.com and multiple other national media outlets that Stetson Law’s Jewish Law Society is hosting an international historical exhibit about the impact of Nazi suppression on Jewish Lawyers suffered during the Third Reich.

On Oct. 22, it was reported in several national outlets including Reviewseeker that Stetson University College of Law’s 17th Special Needs Trusts-The National Conference drew hundreds of attendees to the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club on Oct. 14-16.

Alumni in the News:

Stetson graduate Alex Bittner will be added as an agent for Adams, Cameron & Co., Realtors, as reported by The Daytona Beach News-Journal on Oct. 24.

On Oct. 27, the Bradenton Herald reported that Stetson alumna Martha Lopez will be presenting an art song recital titled “Exsultate, Jubilate,” based around Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s famous composition of the same title.

Stetson alumnus Marcus Sanfilippo was named Flagler County’s Assistant Principal of the Year, as reported by The Daytona Beach News-Journal on Oct. 28.

On Oct. 25, WTVM and other news outlets reported that Stetson Law alumnus Paul Catania earned the 2016 Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent Rating Award.

According to the Oct. 27 BizWireExpress, Law alumnus Michael Babboni advises Volkswagen owners to seek legal counsel.

The Oct. 20 Stuart News reports that Law alumni Jeffrey Hendriks and Michael McNicholas are running for the St. Lucie County Bench.
