Voice major to perform senior recital

SamoneHicks-musicSamone Hicks, music/voice performance major, will perform her senior recital Saturday, April 26, 5:45 p.m., in Lee Chapel inside Elizabeth Hall, 421 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand. The public is invited to attend at no charge.

A soprano, student of voice professor Jane Christeson, Hicks is from Sarasota, Fla. She is the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship, Chris Emory and Jeanne Smith Scholarship, Medallion Scholars Award, Duckwitz Talent Scholarship, Erwin/Nathalie Krause End Scholarship, and the Grady-Rayam Prize Scholarship. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Omicron Delta Kappa honorary fraternities. She works as a music work-study and a resident assistant at Stetson.

In Saturday’s performance, Hicks will be accompanied by Jeremy Vigil, piano, and Nathalie Maldonado, flute.
