Seven Stetson University softball student-athletes have been named 2012-13 All-America Scholar-Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, it was announced earlier this week.

The Hatter honorees were Mallory Brooks (Tampa, Fla.), Jordan Cleghorn, pictured, (Ball Ground, Ga.), Jessica Griffin (Port Saint John, Fla.), Brittany Hawn (Kaneohe, Hawaii), Chrissy Morello (Ormond Beach, Fla.), Chelsea Whalley (Calgary, Alta.), and K.K. Woolington (Tallahassee, Fla.).

To earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades, a player must carry a GPA of 3.50 or higher during the previous academic year.

The Hatters posted a 3.37 team GPA for the 2012-13 academic year, which ranked as the 34th-highest team GPA in all of Division I.
