Football Gameday Staff Needed

2013 spring scrimmageAfter 57 years, Stetson football returns this fall and you have a chance to be involved with this historic event.

Stetson Athletics is looking to fill a number of gameday positions for the six home football games. There is a need for customer service orientated individuals to fill jobs such as ticket takers, ushers, parking attendants and security related positions. All of the positions will fall under the general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations and the Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities and Operations.

All applicants must be reliable and committed and must be at least 18 years old or older and a have a high school diploma. Previous experience in game operations at other entertainment events and venues preferred, but training will be offered to all hired.

Candidates for these positions will need to have a strong customer service initiative. Duties involve taking tickets, performing security inspections, ushering patrons to their seats and correct parking location, and providing an overall safe and fan friendly environment.

This is a combination of inside and outside work and hours will vary based on position assigned and time of game. Positions require climbing steps and standing for long periods of time. Hours will vary due to game times and position.

These positions will work at the six home football games, all on Saturdays. The dates are Aug. 31, Sept. 21 and 28, Oct. 12 and Nov. 2 and 9.

It is not necessary to be available for all home football game dates, however, it is highly desired that you are available for most. Individuals that are available for all dates will receive priority with position and scheduling

There will be mandatory orientation sessions for all hires. Those dates (if hired, you must attend at least one of the dates) are Monday, August 5, and Wednesday, August 7. The orientations sessions will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The location will be provided upon hire.

To be considered you will be required to work outdoors, have the physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
