Monday flash forum on severe storms

Stetson University will present a flash forum on Sandy in the City: Living with Severe Storms, Monday night, Nov. 5, 6 p.m., Rinker Environmental Learning Center, 231 E. Michigan Ave., DeLand.

Stetson Professors Tony Abbott, Barbara Bischof, Jim Buthman, John Jett and Clay Henderson will speak and answer questions on the anatomy of storms, environmental effects, and the politics of human adaptation to these killer systems. What does Hurricane Sandy show us about the future of coastal cities in the context of climate change?

This event, sponsored by Stetson’s  Department of Geography and Environmental Science, is open to the public, free of charge. This is a cultural credit event for Stetson students.
