Tickets still available for Christmas Candlelight

Tickets are still available for Stetson University’s popular holiday tradition of Christmas Candlelight Concerts, scheduled this year for Thursday, Nov. 29, Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. All performances take place in Lee Chapel, Elizabeth Hall, 421 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand.

The concerts will feature over 150 musicians including the Stetson University Concert Choir, The Stetson Women’s Chorale and the Stetson Men. The concert is conducted by Dr. Timothy Peter, director of Choral Activities, and Dr. Andrew Larson, associate director of Choral Activities. Stetson School of Music faculty collaborators include University Organist Dr. Boyd Jones, pianists Tammy Miller and Amy Crane, and harpist Cameron Huster.

Because this popular holiday concert traditionally sells out quickly, an additional performance on Saturday, Dec. 1, has been added to the concert schedule for the first time this year. Attendees are urged to secure tickets as soon as possible.

General admission tickets cost $25 per person; $20 for senior citizens, and $15 for area students and those with a Stetson ID. No one will be admitted to a performance without a ticket. Tickets may be purchased, with cash or check only, at the School of Music front office in Presser Hall, 419 N. Woodland Blvd., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The front office is accessed from the door that opens onto the parking lot behind the building. Tickets also are available by mail. Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with your request, telephone number, and a check for the proper amount, made out to Stetson University, School of Music and mailed to Stetson University, School of Music, 421 N. Woodland Blvd., Unit 8399, DeLand, FL 32723-0001.
