Stetson Science Saturday at Gillespie Museum

Open your mind and get your hands dirty! On Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Gillespie Museum at Stetson University will host its final Science Saturday of the fall semester. Everyone is invited to tour the Museum, which turns 54 years old this month, and next door, in the Rinker Environmental Learning Center, raise your science IQ with hands-on activities designed by biology and plant ecology students.

Biology professors Cindi Bennington and Alicia Schultheis and their students have teamed with the museum staff to offer a full range of activities for children, indoors and out, including planting in the Sandhill Restoration project.

Come experience hands-on science in a fun, educational environment. Free admission and open to the public, with a special invitation to Stetson alumni on campus for Homecoming.

The Gillespie Museum is located at 234 E. Michigan Ave., on the southeast corner of campus. For more information, call (386) 822-7330 or visit [email protected].
