Through the Stetson University Roland George Investments Program, 20 students are given the opportunity to manage a portfolio of approximately $2.9 million in stocks and bonds (real money). The investments program is student-directed where students are able to develop their own objectives for managing their portfolio and can come together to function as an investment management firm would. Students conduct their research in a room that includes a real-time ticker and data wall, television sets, and computers.
The Stetson University School of Business Administration is accredited by the AACSB, the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Of the more than 12,000 business schools worldwide, Stetson is one of only 497 that holds AACSB accreditation in the fields of business and accounting – and one of only 35 private colleges and universities that holds the accreditation in both fields.
