Founded in 1883, Stetson University is Florida’s first private university. A tradition of academic excellence and commitment to values characterizes the Stetson experience, which has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the South’s leading universities since 1985. With more than 60 majors and minors, Stetson has something for everyone in its undergraduate degrees in the arts and sciences, business and music. A low student/teacher ratio of 11:1 gives students individual attention and personal interaction with faculty.
Located in DeLand, Fla., a city of about 23,000 residents, Stetson is home to about 2,250 undergraduate students and more than 350 graduate students. The intimate campus atmosphere creates a safe learning and social environment. In addition to academics, students can get involved in more than 100 student organizations, Division I NCAA athletics and intramurals.
