Short description
Eric is an experienced international educational administrator with more than 15 years in higher education and internationalization, having traveled to 50 countries and lived in four different countries. He leads Stetson University's efforts to deepen international and intercultural learning and to integrate those opportunities across academic disciplines and amongst students, faculty and staff.
He joined Stetson University from the University of North Texas where he served as director of international initiatives. He was instrumental in improving and integrating international operations throughout U.N.T. by facilitating collaboration in areas across the university including faculty support, admissions, budgeting and student services. He was also acting director of global learning and experience (study-abroad) at U.N.T. from 2010 to 2011.
Prior to his work at North Texas, Canny served at New York University as director of global student services, overseeing operations for the world's largest study abroad program that served 4,000 students annually.
Canny is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, The Forum on Education Abroad, and AIEA: Association of International Education Administrators. He has presented at conferences regionally, nationally and internationally on various topics in international learning and has traveled broadly as part of various international education delegations and work teams.

Short description
Paula is originally from Neenah, Wisconsin, and earned her bachelor's degree in African American Studies and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her master's degree in Counseling and Personnel Services: College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland-College Park. During her time at UW-Madison, she spent an academic year studying abroad at the University of Warwick in England, and, following her graduation, spent a year teaching English in South Korea. Her interests include traveling, reading, running and watching movies. She joined the WORLD team in July 2012 and is excited to help promote study abroad and international initiatives at Stetson.

Tarek Omar Samoum is a junior majoring in Management Information Systems and is an international student from Saudi Arabia. He is a member of Sigma Nu and his objective is spreading awareness of international culture and academics on campus.

Poorna Selvaraja is an international student from Malaysia and is a junior majoring in psychology. Apart from being a World peer advisor she is also a member of the Crew team and is the vice president of the Stetson International Organization. Poorna enjoys being involved and volunteering for causes, as well as reading and spending time with friends during her free time.

Matthew Ady is a junior majoring in finance and Spanish. He is a member of the Stetson NCAA Men's Cross Country team and Delta Sigma Phi. Off campus, Matthew is a recreation leader for the City of Kissimmee, located near Orlando. Matthew is passionate about the outdoors and traveling. In the spring of 2012 he studied abroad through Stetson University in Madrid, Spain. It was his experiences here that inspired him to come to work for WORLD: International Learning. Matthew is excited to be a part of this team and is looking to promote Stetson University's study abroad programs to fellow Hatters, both present and future!
