Water and Environmental Resilience

The Stetson Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience is a first of its kind at Stetson. It's purpose is help Stetson University become a center for innovative approaches to tackling complex challenges.

Students with Tree

The Institute will focus on water and environmental research in order to offer policy options to protect natural resources in Central Florida and beyond. The Institute will also channel student and faculty research across all university colleges - in partnership with other institutions and community stakeholders.

Students who are majoring in Environmental Science and Studies or any other students with interests in the environment and sustainable solutions have opportunities to work with faculty and community leaders from government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses in the region to conduct research, develop policy, or participate in public education efforts that identify environmental problems and help implement solutions.
