Program Allocations Committee (PAC)

Values Council Purpose Statement
The Values Council is charged to develop and maintain a strategic focus and
plan to promote and integrate Stetson's values commitments throughout the
University. It will facilitate information flow, evaluate the effectiveness
of our programs to promote values commitments, measure the economic impact
of values commitments, and recommend priorities (in context of other University
priorities).

Introduction
The Values Council PAC was established in the Fall of 1998 to offer support for the
program efforts of the constituent groups making up the Values Council of the
University: Religious & Spiritual Life, Ethical Decision-Making, Diversity, Gender
Equity, Environmental Responsibility, Community Service, and Health & Wellness.

Composition
Membership of the PAC includes the Vice President for Administration (Chair) and the
chairs of the seven Values Councils.

Allocation Principles
1. The PAC will consider proposals which support the stated mission of the Values Council of Stetson University. www.stetson.edu/values
2. Program proposals must first be considered and recommended by one of the seven councils noted above.
3. The PAC will not fund instructional salary proposals (i.e. adjunct teaching positions).
4. Unused funds for approved projects must be returned to the Values Council.

Allocations Process
1. Proposals must be submitted on the Program Proposals Application Form; click to download.
2. Proposals are submitted through the respective council chair(s).
3. Proposal deadlines are established each fall and spring terms by the PAC and published to the constituent councils.
4. Organizations must indicate Values Council sponsorship on all publicity notices.
5. Funded organizations funded must file a report to the chair of sponsoring council no later than thirty days after the event.
6. Organizations receiving funding for students to travel to off-campus conferences will be asked to report on the program to the Values Council.
