Stetson University Summer Term

Whether you’re an incoming student looking to get a jump-start on college or a continuing student who wants to graduate early, Stetson’s summer term 2009 is just for you. With a variety of courses and three sessions to choose from, summer term gives you flexibility and an extra chance to get ahead. And although we call it summer term, sessions actually begin in May and end in June. Stetson offers two sessions that are four weeks long and one session that is eight weeks long. There is a six-credit-hour maximum for the four-week sessions and a 10- credit-hour maximum for the eight-week session.

Most summer courses are taught at Stetson’s main campus in DeLand. Some graduate courses are taught at the Stetson University Center at Celebration near Walt Disney World or at the College of Law in Gulfport/St. Petersburg.

Wondering if summer term’s right for you?

Are you:

  • A current student who wants to take courses so you can graduate early?
  • A current student who wants to carry lighter loads in the fall and spring semesters?
  • A current student who needs specific courses offered in the summer?
  • An incoming student who wants to get an early start at Stetson?
  • A student who attends another school but wants to study at Stetson and transfer credit?
  • A teacher or other professional who needs courses to renew certification or who’s interested in pursuing a graduate degree?
  • Someone who enjoys learning and is interested in taking a course for fun and on an audit-basis?

If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, you should really explore the possibility of spending your summer at Stetson. Our Web site is a great source of information about summer term and other summer happenings on campus.
