Ahmad was 18 years old when he came to the U.S. from Lebanon. Since his teen years, he wanted to practice and teach international law. As a practicing attorney, he concentrates primarily in the area of immigration law. He has represented clients before several immigration courts around the United States, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Department of Homeland Security, and before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. His cases have ranged from Immigration Visas for professionals and refugees to Applications for Citizenship. Yakzan started his legal career as a law clerk and associate at the immigration law firm of Ellen R. Gorman P.A. in St. Petersburg, Florida. Ahmad is from Beirut, Lebanon and is a native Arabic speaker; he is also conversant in French.
