I am very sad to learn this news. He will be missed by many, including me.

He was a great man.

I was an accounting major at Stetson and while my experience on the liberal arts side was limited. My experience with Dr. Raymond was tremendous. Even as a freshman, I was inspired by his passion and willingness to challenge. He was a man I wanted to work hard for and impress. Please pass my prayers and thanks to the Raymond family for allowing me to benefit from his qualities.

This news saddens me greatly, especially because I have known Mike and Judy since we all started at Stetson in 1964. I have just returned from singing a Good Friday service, and I'm not able to take all of this in, but I must thank you for the message that you have sent to the alums, many of whom were the beneficiaries of Mike's great talents as a teacher and friend. Stetson has lost a phenomenal teacher, but Mike will continue to be an influence for many years to come because he influenced so many others.
