School Messenger
The Stetson University Emergency Management Team offers all students, faculty and staff the opportunity to sign up to receive emergency text messages and emergency phone calls on their cell phones and emergency emails to their email accounts. All are encouraged to sign up for the School Messenger system.
Student Directions
- Step 1 – You must enter your cell phone number into Banner. To do this, students need to go to my.stetson.edu. Click on the Students tab, then the Hatter Alert Cell Phone record option. It will display your cell phone number on record. Please make sure that the number that is listed is the correct phone number. Update the phone number as necessary.
- Step 2 – You need to Opt-In. From your cell phone, please text a “Y” to 68453. You will receive a confirmation text back to your cell phone.
Faculty and Staff Directions
To sign up, go to: https://asp.schoolmessenger.com/stetson/subscriber/. Look for the “Sign up now” link. Users MUST select notification preferences (email plus cell phone and/or text messages). Then follow the directions for activation.
Those already using School Messenger can update their information, if necessary, by signing in. The School Messenger service is free to faculty, staff, students and parents, but normal text charges will apply to your phone.
