Vincent C. Brenner, Ph.D., CPA
D. M. Beights Professor of Accounting
Dr. Brenner is the David M. Beights Professor of accounting at Stetson University. He has been active in research; published more than 75 papers in various journals such as The Accounting Review, The Journal of Accounting Research and The Journal of Accounting and Public Policy; published textbooks in Financial Accounting and Intermediate Accounting; and has been active in professional organizations such as the AICPA, AAA, IMA, IIA. He previously served on the AICPA's Board of Examiners and was one of three nationally to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Financial Accounting and Reporting, which he did for eight years.
He was awarded Outstanding Accounting Educator of the Year by both the Louisiana Society of CPAs and Florida Institute of CPAs, the Leon Radde Award from the Institute of Internal Auditors, teaching awards at Virginia Tech and Louisiana State University, and in 2009 the Homer and Dolly Hand Research Award from Stetson University. He has served as an expert witness in both State and Federal courts and as a consultant with a variety of international corporations.
