Shahram Amiri

Associate Professor of Decision and Information Services

Professor Amiri is an associate professor in the Department of Decision and Information Sciences in the School of Business Administration at Stetson University. He also serves in faculty capacity with Salzburg Seminars in Salzburg, Austria.

Dr Amiri served as Vice president and Chief Information Officer for Norfolk State University, Christopher Newport University, Williams College and Stetson University from 1980-2003.

Dr. Amiri served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Institute for the Study of Digital Inclusion (ISDI); a (501c3) Nonprofit Organization from 2000-2011. The ISDI research included the impact of effective uses of information and telecommunication technology on economic development, lifelong learning E-government and E-governance in underserved communities and developing nations. He is an accomplished Community Informatics researcher and practitioner, and has served in a consultant capacity to many public, private and civic organizations since 1980.
