Susan M. McQuinn

Professor of Flute

Susan McQuinn is professor of flute at Stetson University, music director at New Life Christian Fellowship in Titusville, flautist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bach Festival Orchestra in Winter Park, administrator and teacher of the Florida Flute Summer Workshop, and a member of Veritate Winds at Stetson University. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and completed 11 years of postgraduate study with Geoffrey Gilbert of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Formerly flute professor at the University of Central Florida and Daytona State College, McQuinn has served on the board of directors of the National Flute Association, served two terms as president and currently sits on the Board of the Florida Flute Association. She is an adjudicator for the Florida Bandmasters Association and has performed solo and chamber recitals in Europe, Mexico and throughout the U.S., including a New York solo debut at Carnegie Recital Hall. McQuinn is an Altus Flutes Artist.
