Adjunct Professor of Music
Involved in the performing arts administration industry since 1980, Patrece Robinson teaches Career Skills for upper division music students. An adjunct faculty member at Stetson University since 2002, she is also executive director for Lakeside Productions and is administrative director for the inaugural 2014 Sorrento, Italy GuitarFest. A frequent guest presenter, Robinson (together with Stephen Robinson) served as keynote speaker at the 2014 Southern Entrepreneurship in the Arts Conference at the University of North Carolina- Greensboro and as guest presenter at the Guitar Foundation of America's 2013 Annual International Convention at the University of Louisville. Robinson served as assistant director of Stetson University's Office of Career Development and Academic Advising from 2008 to 2013, as administrative director for the Stetson University International Guitar Workshop from 1991 to 2005, as director of the Stetson University Community School of the Arts (now called the Community School of Music) from 1993 to 1997 and as business manager for Central Florida Cultural Endeavors, Inc. and the Florida International Festival featuring the London Symphony Orchestra from 2006 to 2007. A native of Miami, Fla., Robinson graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with bachelor and master of music degrees in piano performance where she was a student of the great American/Hungarian pianist, Edward Kilenyi.
Committed to service in the Central Florida community, Robinson regularly volunteered in the Volusia County schools and managed competitive youth soccer teams for 15 years. She resides in DeLand with her husband, Stephen, and together they have raised four sons.
