Matthew Wilson
Assistant Professor and Program Director of Sport Management
Matt Wilson is the sport management program director and an assistant professor at Stetson University. A former college and professional baseball player, Wilson completed his doctoral work at the University of Georgia and has taught in higher education since 1998. Wilson's research areas are focused on issues in intercollegiate athletics and professional athlete transition/development. He also has several years of practical sport management work experience having worked for eight years in intercollegiate athletics, the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Augusta National Golf Club, as well as operating his own video analysis business (Video Sport Skills Analysis) since 2006. Wilson is married to the former Lisa Nuxol and they have a son, Rocco.
