Laura Gunn

Associate Professor and Chair of Integrative Health Science

Laura H. Gunn, Ph.D. is associate professor and chair of integrative health science at Stetson University. She is an applied biostatistician with broad interests in numerous areas of public health. She holds a Ph.D. and a master of science in statistics from Duke University, and a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Jacksonville University. She held a fellowship with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and was a statistical consultant for Duke Medicine. She was one of the founding faculty and co-built the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University (as a tenured associate professor, director of biostatistics and interim associate dean) through a nationwide accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health. At Georgia Southern she received Faculty Awards of Excellence for both Teaching and Mentoring and Service. Since 2011, Laura has been an honorary research fellow in public health-biostatistics and associate director of the global health unit at Imperial College London's School of Public Health. She has also served as lead biostatistician for Research Design Service London, part of the United Kingdom's National Institute for Health Research.
