Jessica Speak

Adjunct Professor of Music, Clarinet

Jessica Speak, a freelance musician in Central Florida, performs regularly with area orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the Bach Festival Orchestra, Walt Disney World Orchestra, Southern Winds Symphonic Band and the New Score Chamber Ensemble. She is a founding member of the Orlando Wind Quintet, the Sunshine Clarinet Quartet and New Score Chamber Ensemble. The Sunshine Clarinet Quartet premiered four new works at the 2013 International Clarinet Association's annual conference in Assisi, Italy. Jessica joined the adjunct faculty at Stetson University in 2012. She received her M.M. in clarinet performance from SUNY Purchase College ('05) and B.M. in clarinet performance from Stetson University ('02). Her primary teachers include Ayako Oshima Neidich, Lynn Musco and Ethan Sloane. In addition to her performing, Jessica's responsibilities at Stetson University include teaching applied clarinet, conducting the clarinet choir and coaching various woodwind chamber ensembles. She also maintains an active private studio, presents solo recitals and master classes, and serves as an adjudicator for various events sponsored by the Florida Bandmasters Association.
