Jessica Speak

Adjunct Professor of Music, Clarinet

Jessica Speak '02, a long-time resident of Central Florida, received her bachelor of music degree from Stetson University and her master of music degree from SUNY Purchase College (2005) in clarinet performance. She is a freelance musician, performing regularly with area orchestras and chamber ensembles including the Bach Festival Orchestra, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Walt Disney World Orchestra, Southern Winds Symphonic Band and the New Score Chamber Ensemble. She is a founding member of the Orlando Wind Quintet and the Sunshine Clarinet Quartet, the latter of which just completed a performance at the 2013 International Clarinet Association's annual conference which was held in Assisi, Italy. Speak joined the adjunct faculty of the Stetson University School of Music in 2012 and teaches applied clarinet, conducts the clarinet choir and coaches various woodwind chamber ensembles. In addition to her teaching responsibilities at Stetson University, she maintains an active private studio, presents solo recitals and master classes and serves as an adjudicator for various events sponsored by the Florida Bandmasters Association. She resides in Orlando with her husband Ben and their two children.
