David Schmidt
Associate Professor of Music
A faculty member at Stetson University since 1984, David Schmidt serves as the trombone and euphonium professor as well as director of the trombone choir and brass ensemble. As a trombonist, he has performed with bands and orchestras throughout the U.S. and Canada. As a teacher, his students have attended prestigious graduate schools, have won numerous national and international awards and hold positions in military bands, brass bands and orchestras. A respected pedagogue, he regularly adjudicates at Florida Bandmaster Association events.
